This army tan 1942 Chevrolet Model G506 4X4 2 ton WWII -era truck is a fairly complete body, chassis and power train ready to be restored. This body is solid and rust free. There is a cut out on the right corner of the cab for a gas filler. The left door is missing. The running boards are bent. There are some dents in the hood and the hood sides are gone. The left fender is bent in the front. The wipers are missing. The truck has a factory PTO winch. The front bumper has been reinforced. There is not bed and there is a steel head frame behind the cab. The truck has dual rear wheels and there are no front lock-out hubs. The interior is complete except one gauge and the seat are missing. An under-seat fuel tank has been added. The 235 CID OHV inline six cylinder motor and 4 speed manual transmission are all there. The running condition is unknown. Nothing has been removed from the motor so it may have been running when it was retired. This truck would make an excellent off-road tow truck or vintage logger.
