This orange 1940 Ford Series 01Y One Ton panel truck is a very solid and mostly complete classic Montana truck ready to be restored or customized. It originally came from Illinois but has been in Montana for a long time. The rear doors, motor, transmission, transmission floor pan cover, spare and seat are missing. The hood is in the back and the center trim is broken. Otherwise the van is mostly complete. The sheet metal is generally solid except as noted. The bottoms of both front doors have some rust. The driver door has the most deterioration at the bottom front and around the lower hinge. The right rear corner of the body where the door opening meets the quarter panel at the bottom is cracked and rusted. The grill and grill housing is dented and some of the grill bars are missing. The right horizontal side hood panel is bent and loose. There are some dents, cracks and welded cracks in the front fenders. There is a dent behind the left front wheel and in the top of the right rear fender. The lower back tails of the quarter fenders have some damage. There are some small dents in the sides of the running boards. Generally, all of the body defects as listed are repairable. There are add-on upper braces on the rear bumper. The inside left rear side panel is bent and loose. The wood rear floor is deteriorated in places. The front floor is solid except the right passenger floor is rusted. The dash is complete including the gauges. The chrome Ford badge on the dash, unique to 40 Ford trucks, is a good replatable core. The van comes with a new title which takes 3 weeks to process.
